A huge hit from Michael Bolton's big hair days, and yet another example of someone thinking "hey, why not spice up the original by chucking in a gear change?" The Percy Sledge version is just fine without one, but Michael "Soul Provider" Bolton decides he's going to defy convention by putting his key change slap-bang in the middle of the song, rather than towards the end. But that does nothing to stop you being sick in your mouth as the hammond organ grinds to a halt, and the chorus kicks back in with a supernatural lack of tact.
