This key-changing moment by Gabrielle – who only has one name – is rather difficult to spot, unless you have some sort of unhealthy fixation with truck driver's gear changes. It's introduced by some gentle strings, and the whole song generally has quite a soothing mood. But don't let that fool you – as far as I'm concerned, a gear change is a gear change... is a gear change.
In any case, I'm never going to forgive her for that botched loop of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" which she used on "Rise".
