"Take Good Care Of My Baby" wasn't on the soundtrack to Goodfellas, but it damn well should have been. I can just imagine loads of besuited criminals passing stolen goods out the back of a shop, with this song deafeningly loud over the top.
You can't accuse the song of trying to quietly sweep its modulation under the carpet, as the piano really showcases the gear shift, and the manoeuvre is conspicuously rounded off with some head-shaking triplets which the backing singers seem to delight in following. A classic!
